
Winning the contract to design and develop the ScottishPower customer site in 2006 has led to a range of work that illustrates the breadth and depth of our capabilities, skills and experience. Along with the re-development of the main website in 2010, we have developed sites for the Green Energy Trust and the Energy People Trust. Each site incorporates proprietary Dog Digital technology to assist with the completion and administration of grant application processes.
Recognising our in-depth technical abilities, ScottishPower also selected us to develop a new online energy quotation system to help customers obtain quotes and switch energy suppliers. In order to complete the customer's digital journey, and to drive traffic to this new application, ScottishPower turned to Dog's digital marketing team. For their digital strategy work, Dog's search team was recently awarded an industry-recognised DADI award.
Our bespoke marketing strategy took into account the crowded nature of the utilities market and calculated how best to stand out from the competition in terms of search marketing. Within four months of taking over the account, our strategy generated impressive results. Conversions increased by 392% at a CPA that was 32% lower than target. Natural optimisation work delivered similarly impressive results; a massive 258% increase in search engine traffic in just 9 months.
